Writers and performers of the spoken word, Mick Whysall and Dave Brookes were both independent story tellers who joined together several years ago to form The Woolly Tellers. Since those early days they have performed at numerous venues including the third stage at the Theatre Royal to a capacity audience.
Mick and Dave have distinctly different styles of delivery but blend together to create a unique and entertaining listening experience. The Woolly Tellers enjoy the challenge to tailer and create a tale to suit any event and venue. There are no boundaries to the content within a story, and as writers, Mick and Dave desire to reach new and wider audiences to be entertained.
As Storytellers who don't read from books, The Woolly Tellers tell stories in a live performance which is at once immediate, intimate, exciting and engrossing, taking an audience from hysterical laughter to gasps of surprise (and back again) with the twist of a phrase!
